The life of a freelancer is not that simple as people thinks– working on one own terms, own time, working from his favorite cafe, or one just never leave his home – But it’s not like it looks!
Working as a
freelance is very hard. Starting out the things are daunting. However
reading a lot about freelancing, it has become little easier. When you are
working as a freelancer, you are mostly alone at nights. You should have a good
network of friends but a lot of the time you could be alone because your
friends with 9-5 jobs don’t understand your work. They’ll think you are using
your laptop to watch movies/seasons but that’s not true. Freelancers need

Managing
time and meeting deadlines is always been a great problem for everyone. We all
are lazy doing the things on their right time. And we start not thinking about
it, if that thing is not important to us. Similarly, if meeting your deadlines
isn’t important to you, you’ll surely lose your clients. Being a freelancer you
will need to leave the habit of working last minute. You will be needed to
create a schedule that will give you liberal time to work, so you can be less
stressed and can satisfy your client with best work.
Too busy, too idle
There
is one think you need to know about freelancers, they’re either too busy or too
idle. You either have too much work and money or you are looking for someone to
buy you food!! Freelancing is all about marketing yourself, not only your work
but also your own self. It happens many times that either you have so much work
that you start refusing to accept more task or sometimes you start calling your
old clients to and ask about if they have any work for you.
Unrealistic
demands
Most
of the time clients ask about unrealistic demands that you can’t provide. It
could either be in the form of unrealistic work or unrealistic deadlines. And
sometimes it happens that your loyal client asking you to do his work in two
days but you have full pack schedule for next 4 days and you can’t refuse him
either.
Work-Life Balance
Once
you start feeling home of freelancing from working at home, it can be tough to
think of home as anything but your office. You need to make sure that you’re
taking care of the rest of your responsibilities and giving deserving time to
everything and people around you (Family and friends). Don’t just give every
free moment as another chance to work but you will need time for your health
both physically and mentally.
Not Getting Paid
Freelancing
is not an easy job. Eventually, it’ll happen that your client is not going to
pay as he promised at the time of contracting. In order to keep away from such
case always use a mediator websites like Fiverr, Freelancer, Upwork. They make
sure such things don’t occur because they need a good relation with both buyer
and seller.
Technical Difficulties
If you’re
working as a freelancer, you always have to be connected with new technology. Sometimes
internet connectivity is major problem or sometimes devices break-down. And sometimes
you need to learn the use of new software to complete your assessment.
Marketing Yourself
Telling people, what you good at, is the hardest
among all. You should know where you’re standing in the market. You should know
how you can gain people trust, so they assist you tasks.
Staying focused!
Working at home is even hardest then working at
office. At offices its very less change to get distracts but at home you have
to be focus towards your work so you can complete your task in time.
But, you’re still Unemployed!!
What? You don’t have any office job? Means you’re
still unemployed. You might be waking up every morning at your favorite time,
not traveling to job location every day and staying at home and working on your
